The Different Uses of Micro Cement in Interior Design

Microcement is an ultrafine cement, which can be used as cement coating that can be applied to other materials and thus can be used to create new appearances of the different materials. It is ideal for both exterior and interior surfaces such as floors, walls and ceilings. Microcement is really very adjustive material, and it gives many options and possibilities for an interior designer to portray his/her masterpiece. Whether you are using it on walls or any flooring, microcement can be applied almost any surface. Apart from its application on walls or floors it has various other uses of microcement all over your house.

One of the most common usage of microcement is in drawing room. It makes sense because large spaces are admired more when microcement is applied to its flooring and walls.

1. In Work Surfaces:

One of the main benefit of microcement is its durability which makes its coating last more. It is also water resistant and it doesn’t get affected by scratches and as result wherever it applied that surface will maintain a smooth and polished texture.

Due to this many benefit it makes it a better choice for any work surfaces, specially the surfaces found in the kitchen.

Just because of so many advantages it is the best option for any work surfaces which is found in kitchen. It resembles marble and granite that to at a competitive price. Microcement also adds hygiene to the work surface.

The added benefit of using microcement is its availability in different colours and textures, which comes in handy with any modern kitchen design.

Microcement has a property of water resistance, which makes it an ideal substance for any type of bathroom designing and bathroom interior. It can be used anywhere whether it is walls of s a bathroom or bathroom floor.

There are few materials that can offer this kind of luxury like microcement and that’s why bathrooms are decorated most frequently. Usage of tiling is the only option to protect the surface from any damage caused by moisture or humidity.

3. Making it work in Furnitures and Fixtures:

One of the distinct features of microcement is that it covers a thin surface area whenever used, thus making it a great option for creating concrete furniture and fixtures in interior designing. Microcement opened a whole new dimension for creating design possibilities as compared to traditional concrete which was too heavy to be used in such way.
